SEAGRAM LOFTS | WATERLOO, ON

COMPLETED IN: 2002

AREA / UNITS: 110,000sf / 103

TYPE: NEW CONSTRUCTION / ADAPTIVE RE-USE

CONSTRUCTION BUDGET: $17M

The conversion of two historic barrel warehouses on the former Seagram lands was completed in 2002. Built near the turn of the century, these two buildings were the final structures remaining after Seagram’s departure from the site and the subsequent sale of the land to the City of Waterloo. Our proposed retention of the warehouses to be converted as loft condominiums - retaining the historic facades, while completely re-developing the interior structure - was selected by the City of Waterloo during its initial proposal call in 1998. The $17 million, 110,000sf project contains 103 predominantly two storey loft units ranging in size from bachelor units to luxurious penthouses.
