Lloyd Grinham | Principal Architect

Since the founding of Grinham Architects in 1993 (then known as L. Alan Grinham Architect Inc.), Lloyd and the core group of talented design professionals that make up the firm have gained a reputation for successfully delivering projects encompassing a wide spectrum of types and sizes serving a range of Clients. An alumnus of the University of Waterloo, Lloyd holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (1982) and Bachelor of Architecture (1986) degree. Over his +30 years of working in the field Lloyd has gained experience on an array of projects, including but not limited to, multi-residential (including student, seniors, cooperative and condominium style housing), single-family residential, industrial, commercial, institutional, medical, master planning and urban design. Lloyd is a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals and has an extensive background working on heritage conservation and adaptive re-use projects. Lloyd’s portfolio of realized past work includes numerous projects incorporating ‘green’ innovations and Grinham Architects has consequently come to be recognized locally as a leader in the discipline of sustainable design. Aside from managing his practice, Lloyd has been a volunteer for the Guelph based Hillside Festival since 1999, having acted as a Board of Directors member and Treasurer during his tenure. He’s recognized by the Hillside community for his remarkable level of commitment and outstanding contributions to the festival.
