ELORA LIBRARY | ELORA, ON

COMPLETED IN: 2009

AREA: 3,900sf

TYPE: ADDITION / RENOVATION

The renovation of the former Carnegie Library in Elora implemented current accessibility standards through a 900 ft2 addition to the existing 3,000 ft2 facility. This compact addition houses expanded washroom facilities, an accessible entrance, and an elevator. Completed in 2009, the renovation of the existing interiors offers a renewal of community areas and better appointed collections spaces. Together with the Carnegie projects in Mount Forest and Harriston, the new $750,000 design restores and preserves heritage features while integrating barrier free accessibility standards and modern energy systems.
